Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro Review – The Best Android Earbuds of 2026?

While most of the attention this year has been on new smartphone launches, Samsung quietly released something that might actually be more impressive: the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro.

After several days of testing them in real-world situations — flights, workouts, editing sessions, calls — I can confidently say:

These are my favorite wireless earbuds of 2026.

If you’d like to watch the full in-depth review with demos and comparisons, you can check it out here:

Design & Comfort

Samsung redesigned both the case and the buds this year.

The case now has a compact cube-style design with:

  • Wireless charging

  • USB-C port

  • A tinted clear lid with a satisfying magnetic snap

The buds feature a square stem design, which actually improves gesture accuracy. Swiping for volume and squeezing for controls feels more precise compared to rounded designs.

They’re also IP57 dust and water resistant (buds only), making them suitable for workouts and everyday use.

Most importantly — they stay in my ears comfortably, even with the default tips.

Sound Quality: A Serious Upgrade

Each bud includes:

  • A dedicated subwoofer

  • A separate tweeter

  • Individual amplification for each driver

The result is strong bass, clear highs, and excellent separation across a wide range of music genres.

Samsung also includes a full 9-band EQ, allowing you to customize the sound profile to your preference. The “Dynamic” preset gives a fun, punchy V-shaped curve, but you can fine-tune everything manually.

These don’t just sound good “for earbuds” — they genuinely compete with the best in the category.

Active Noise Cancellation & Ambient Mode

ANC performance is excellent.

At maximum strength, the noise cancellation is:

  • Strong enough for flights

  • Great for commuting

  • Comparable to (and possibly stronger than) AirPods Pro

Ambient mode also sounds natural, letting you clearly hear your surroundings and your own voice.

Additional smart features include:

  • Automatic switch to ambient mode when you start talking

  • Siren detection that temporarily enables ambient mode

  • Automatic return to ANC after conversation ends

These small software touches make a big difference in everyday use.

Ecosystem & Smart Features

Within the Samsung ecosystem, you get:

  • Instant multi-device switching

  • 360° spatial audio with head tracking

  • In-ear detection for automatic play/pause

  • Find-my tracking

  • Live translate

  • Gaming mode for reduced audio latency

They also connect to iPhone via standard Bluetooth, though without Samsung’s advanced app customization.

Final Thoughts

The Galaxy Buds 4 Pro strike an impressive balance between:

✔️ Premium sound
✔️ Strong ANC
✔️ Comfortable daily use
✔️ Smart software features
✔️ Deep ecosystem integration

For Android users — especially those using Samsung devices — these are currently the earbuds to beat.
